W czwartek 3 listopada 2022 roku została zawarta umowa pomiędzy firmą nasienną DLF Seeds, s.r.o., z siedzibą w Hladké Životice, Republika Czeska a Uniwersytetem Przyrodniczo-Humanistycznym w Siedlcach. Firmę DLF Seeds reprezentował Pan Matthias Hochrein – dyrektor generalny DLF Seeds s.r.o., Uczelnię Pan dr hab. inż. Zbigniew Karczmarzyk – Prorektor ds. nauki i współpracy z zagranicą. Bezpośrednim wykonawcą umowy będzie Instytut Rolnictwa i Ogrodnictwa UPH w Siedlcach, gdyż umowa dotyczy oceny plonowania 8 mieszanek bobowato-trawiastych oraz festulolium w typie życica i festulolium w typie kostrzewa w warunkach glebowo-klimatycznych środkowo-wschodniej Polski. Zgodnie z postanowieniami umowy, uprawy będą prowadzone przez okres 3 lat w Rolniczej Stacji Doświadczalnej w Zawadach. Ponadto obok aspektu badawczego, poletka mają także pełnić funkcję pokazowo-edukacyjną dla studentów kierunków rolniczych i uczniów szkół średnich współpracujących z Instytutem.
DLF to globalna firma z siedzibą w Danii zajmująca się hodowlą roślin i produkcją wysokiej jakości materiału siewnego dla sektora rolnego, sportowego oraz gospodarstw domowych. Firma jest niekwestionowanym liderem na rynku nasion traw z ponad 50% udziałem w Europie i około 25% w skali globalnej. Z kolei DLF Seeds s.r.o. jest odpowiedzialna za sprzedaż w Europie centralnej czyli na Węgrzech, w Czechach i Słowacji, a od 2021 roku również w Polsce.
W związku z podpisaniem umowy, Rektorat naszej Uczelni oraz Instytut Rolnictwa i Ogrodnictwa odwiedzili: Matthias Hochrein (dyrektor generalny), Šárka Reková (specjalista od marketingu i komunikacji) oraz Konrad Buczkowski (przedstawiciel handlowy na Polskę).
Cooperation agreement with DLF Seeds, s.r.o. Czech Republic
On Thursday, November 3, 2022, an agreement was concluded between the seed company DLF Seeds, s.r.o., based in Hladké Životice, Czech Republic, and Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities, Poland. The DLF Seeds company was represented by Mr. Matthias Hochrein - general director of DLF Seeds s.r.o., whereas Siedlce University was represented by dr. hab. inż. Zbigniew Karczmarzyk - Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Office. The direct contractor of the contract will be the Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture of Siedlce University, as the contract concerns the yield evaluation of 8 fabaceae-grass mixes and a ryegrass-type festulolium and a fescue-type festulolium in the soil climatic conditions of Central and Eastern Poland. Pursuant to the provisions of the agreement, the crops will be grown for a period of 3 years at Zawady Agricultural Experimental Station, Poland. In addition, apart from the research aspect, the crops are also to perform a demonstration and educational function for students of agricultural faculties as well as high school students cooperating with the Institute.
DLF is a global Danish-based plant breeding company specializing in production of high-quality seeds for the agricultural, sports and household sectors. The company is the undisputed leader in the grass seed market with over 50% share in Europe and approximately 25% on a global scale. On the other hand, DLF Seeds s.r.o. is responsible for sales in Central Europe, i.e. in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and since 2021 also in Poland.
In connection with the signing of the contract, the Rector's Office of our University and the Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture were visited by: Matthias Hochrein (general director), Šárka Reková (marketing and communication specialist) and Konrad Buczkowski (sales representative for Poland).
