1) Special pedagogy, 5-year long-cycle programme
If you want to gain preparation for the teaching profession and work with people with special educational needs, as well as help people who need support and assistance to overcome difficulties, choose the long-cycle programme in special education.
After graduation, depending on the module you choose, you can become a specialist:
- in the field of education and rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities and find work in special schools, special, integrative and general education centres, remedial and educational centres, youth education centres and youth sociotherapy centres, psychological and educational counselling centres, occupational therapy workshops, social welfare homes, community self-help homes.
- in the field of rehabilitative pedagogy having pedagogical preparation for working with people at risk of social maladjustment in educational institutions (e.g. schools, psychological and educational counselling centres), care and educational units, sociotherapeutic, rehabilitation and special care institutions, social welfare centres, associations and foundations.
- in the field of early childhood development support and work in institutions providing early childhood development support (kindergartens, nurseries, psychological and educational counselling centres, special schools).
